How to configure camera configuration in Ivideon Server?
New configuration
Why?
Confuguring cameras for the first time or creating a configuration that is different from all the previous ones.
How?
- Click on the triangle to the right of the "Settings" menu.
Start the setup wizard.
Click "Next" and select "New configuration".
Follow the steps of the setup wizard as described in Working with Ivideon Server setup wizard.
Copying configuration
Why?
In order to quickly create a new configuration on a new server using the existing configuration. For example, you need to set up surveillance at several sites with the same configuration. So that you would not have to create it each time you restart, you can simply copy and move it to another object. It is very convenient for chain facilities consisting of many similar objects: shops, cafes, offices, etc.
How?
- Click on the triangle to the right of the "Settings" menu.
Start the setup wizard.
Click "Next" and select "Copy configuration".
Enter the email address and password of Ivideon account where the configuration will be copied from.
Select the Ivideon Server configuration from the list.
Enter the email address of your personal Ivideon account, to which the cameras from this server will be linked. If you have not registered yet, the account is created automatically.
Click "Finish" to apply the configuration.
The server with the copied configuration will start automatically.
Important!Cameras will appear in Ivideon personal account after Ivideon Server starts.
Restoring configuration
Why?
To use an existing configuration of the previously configured server. For example, in the case of damage to the HDD on the site, surveillance does not need to be re-configured: the configuration is stored in Ivideon cloud, and it can be easily restored. This feature is particularly useful if the object is large and had a complex configuration of several tens or hundreds of cameras (business centers, universities, museums, etc.).
How?
- Click on the triangle to the right of the "Settings" menu.
Start the setup wizard.
Click "Next" and select "Restore configuration".
To restore Ivideon Server configuration from the cloud, enter the email address and password of your Ivideon account.
Select the Ivideon Server configuration from the list.
Click "Finish" to apply the configuration
The server with the restored configuration will start automatically.
Important!Cameras will appear in Ivideon personal account after Ivideon Server starts.
