Ivideon Client for Linux

Want to turn your Linux computer into a video surveillance station? No problem! Ivideon Client for Linux supports all the features that Ivideon Client has on other platforms.

We officially support:

Ivideon Client can be installed on other Linux distributions, though we don’t guarantee that it will work perfectly.

Minimum system requirements

  • CPU: Single-Core Intel® Atom™ Processor
  • RAM: 1 Gb
  • HDD: 150 MB of free space

Installation by script

For easy installation:

  1. Download the Ivideon Client installation script:

    Download Ivideon Client

  2. Go to your download catalog and execute the following commands:
    $ chmod +x ./install-ivideon-client.sh
    $ sudo ./install-ivideon-client.sh
  3. Launch Ivideon Client. If you are running Ubuntu Desktop, enter the word “Ivideon” in the Dash search field. In the search results, click the Ivideon Client icon.

Manual installation

Ivideon Client is installed and updated from Ivideon’s open repository. You will need to do the following:

  1. Execute the following commands in the Terminal:
    $ sudo wget http://packages.ivideon.com/ubuntu/keys/ivideon.list -O /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ivideon.list
    $ wget -O - http://packages.ivideon.com/ubuntu/keys/ivideon.key | sudo apt-key add -
    $ sudo apt-get update
    $ sudo apt-get install ivideon-client
  2. Launch Ivideon Client. If you are running Ubuntu Desktop, enter the word “Ivideon” in the Dash search field. In the search results, click the Ivideon Client icon.
