Installing firmware on Hikvision camera

Why?

The firmware allows IP cameras to work with Ivideon cloud service directly without any additional equipment. To install or update Ivideon firmware, follow these 8 simple steps.

How?

  1. Connect the camera to the computer or router in your LAN using the Ethernet cable. We recommend not to install camera firmware via Wi-Fi, as in this case the camera may be damaged.
  2. Install and run the SADP program (can be supplied on a disk with your camera, or is available at: http://overseas.hikvision.com/en/.
  3. In the next window, click "Refresh" button. Wait until the search is complete, the camera will appear in the list. When searching for the camera using SADP, we recommended that you disable the blocking software (antivirus, firewall, brandmauer).
  4. Copy the IP address of the camera and insert it into your browser address bar.
  5. In the next window, enter your camera login and password (by - default admin/12345).
  6. Go to "Settings" tab, then to "Sys.">"Maintenance".
  7. In the "Remote Update" section, check "SW", then click "Select" and select the firmware file.
  8. Click "Update". The update process will take from 1 to 10 minutes; please do not turn off the device. The device will restart automatically after the update. Done!

Important! After installing the firmware when you first connect to the Internet, the camera will automatically download the firmware (~3.0 MB). Please note that after updating the firmware, the archive recorded on the camera’s SD card can be lost - we recommend that you back up all video data in advance.
