How do I export video archives from my camera?

You can get video recordings from your camera (for any chosen period of time) in MP4 format.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Log into your account.
  2. Select a camera and open it.
  3. Click the Export archive records button.

  4. An orange bar will appear on the timeline.

    Drag it to the time interval you want to export. It is also possible to expand or narrow the chosen time interval by pulling the top corners of the bar.

  5. Press the Queue for download button.

  6. Close the video window and click the Archive Export tab.

  7. Click the Download button to get the recording.

Local export

If you store video archive on your computer you can also export videos as .avi or .mp4 files via Ivideon Client.

This feature is available only for local video servers. The local video server is an Ivideon Server installed on the same computer or in the same Local Area Network (LAN).

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Install the Ivideon Client.
  2. Add a local video server.
  3. Open the camera with the archive you want to export.
  4. Press the Export archive to file… button.

  5. An orange bar will appear on the timeline.

    Drag it to the time interval you want to export. It is also possible to expand or narrow the chosen time interval by pulling the top corners of the bar.

    The maximum length of the time frame that can be exported is 2 hours.

  6. Press the Start acrhive loading button and wait wait for the export to finish. Video files will be saved to the folder specified in Ivideon Client settings (in Archive Export section).

If your video player cannot play the recroding, we recommend installing the K-Lite codec package. We also recommend to use the VLC media player.
